What to do with small children in Summer on a rainy day? I have a great offer: cook dumplings stuffed with plum. This is one of the most favourite Hungarian traditional dessert. After a delicious goulash soup, this is the best second course. You don’t need too much ingredients: some baked and mashed potato, mushed with flour, egg, oil and a pinch of salt. Then roll the dough out, cut cca 8×8 cm squares, put a plum in the sqares with a cube of cinnamon sugar in it, and form dumplings. Cook them in a boiling water, then put them in rosted breadcrumbs. For serving, use cinnamon powder sugar.
Children are extremely enthusiastic in forming the dumplings, you need to clean only 1-2 hours after. But they will be soo proud of themselves, and will eat lunch like an angel.. 😀
