Passion for traditional Hungarian home-made organic food, hosting guests and offering delicious bits of information about Hungary and its culture, past and present – this is behind Hungry for Hungary. We both have grown up in the countryside and have learned cooking from our grandmas appreciating their overwhelming knowledge in the kitchen. At the time of political change in 1990 we were 17 and 26 years old and have many memories about everyday life in the Communist era. Professionally, we have spent over two decades in marketing, travelled extensively around the world with an interest in history, and in the meantime we have become hobby-cooks.
If you are hungry for Hungary, be our guest for dinner and a memorable evening with a couple of friendly people!

Our apartment where we host you is located in a housing estate built in the ’50s, in the darkest Communist Era for working class families. The buildings and flats have been renovated still they demonstrate an average Hungarian lifestyle.
We can host 2-6 guests in our cosy apartment for an all-you-can-eat-and-drink dinner lasting for about 3 hours, beginning at 6 pm.

The experience you can’t miss if you want to get to know what the real Hungarian gastronomy is about and learn some important cultural tips as well. Highly recommended!!!
The food was unbelievable! We really enjoyed all the dishes, drinks and care that they put into such a special time. We fully recommend a dinner with Zoli and Andrea if you are in Budapest, that would rival any restaurant in the city. A great immersive experience!!
We had a fantastic evening at Hungry for Hungary. As enthusiasts of Hungarian cuisine, we can testify that every dish and beverage served was first-rate, complemented wonderfully by the amicable vibes fostered by Andi and Zoli. Highly recommended! It’s evident that Andi and Zoli have a passion for what they do, mirrored clearly in both the culinary delights and the high standard of service they provide. The meals are a feast for the senses, perfectly paired with choice Hungarian wines and pálinka. A definite must-visit when in Budapest!
Small home cooked dinner with excellent food and excellent immersive experience of Hungarian history and culture. One of our top experiences of our Eastern Europe trip. Highly recommend.
We were so lucky to experience this fabulous evening with Hungry for Hungary ” Andrea & Zoltan ” The conversation and information was brilliant, flawed and was very informative.. The food and wine was absolutely amazing, the bread (home made by Andrea) was delicious, not to forget the pancakes made by Zoltan.. Wow ! Thank-you to you both, for making our visit to Budapest so special and interesting. This experience is absolutely recommended 💯
